How to view an HL7 message
If an HL7 integration has been configured between CIMAR and another of your services, you will be able to view all HL7 messages sent to CIMAR directly within the user interface.
This feature is useful for:
- Tracking workflow activity: Monitor message flow throughout your processes.
- Troubleshooting communication issues: Identify transmission errors or failed integrations.
- Reviewing message details: Inspect the full content of individual HL7 messages.
- Testing connected systems: Verify functionality of other networked services, such as your RIS.
Access to HL7 messages within the UI provides valuable visibility into system integrations and overall workflow performance.

How to Access HL7 Messages in CIMAR
- Click the “HL7” option in the navigation bar.
- You will be taken to the HL7 page, which displays a list of all HL7 messages sent to CIMAR.

Understanding the HL7 Page
- Type – The type of HL7 message received.
- Name / MRN / Accession – Patient and study-related information.
- Created Date – The date and time CIMAR received the message.
- View – Opens the complete HL7 message for review.
- Search – Allows you to filter the HL7 list using specific criteria.
This page provides a centralised view of all incoming HL7 communications for easy tracking and review.
